Go With the Flow: Inside Faster Payments Operations

This course focuses on the standard operational flow of faster payments, following transactions from initiation to settlement across modern payment rails. Students will examine participation requirements, process flows, message validation, and status responses, with an emphasis on how payments are designed to move smoothly through the system. The session also explores how transparency, remittance information, and straight-through processing support operational efficiency, and how back-office systems enable posting, reconciliation, and reporting. The goal of this course is to help students understand what “good” looks like when faster payments work as intended.
