Payments Institute
Payments do not live neatly in one department. This course explores how financial institutions organize, govern, and operate their payments functions across product, operations, compliance, risk, and technology teams. Students will examine common operating models, ownership structures, and decision-making frameworks, including where tensions often arise as new payment capabilities are introduced. The session focuses on how institutions define accountability, coordinate across teams, and build scalable operating models to support both innovation and control.
