This course provides an in-depth look at the obligations, risks, and roles of Receivers within the ACH Network. This course covers the warranties Receivers make when accepting ACH transactions, the liabilities they face, and how their actions impact the broader payment ecosystem. Faculty will also discuss the most significant fraud threats to bank account holders: fraud and scams that result in money being sent out of their accounts using credit payments. This course explores ways to identify current fraud threats that result in credit-push payments through the ACH Network and other payment rails, highlights significant challenges that credit-push fraud scenarios present, and identifies opportunities to improve fraud detection and prevention, and aid in the recovery of funds.
