Let's Settle This

Financial transactions depend on messages about the transfer of value, as well as the actual transfer of value. Conversations about payments don’t always make clear whether the focus is on the clearing or the settlement of a transaction. In this session, panelists will clear up confusion, describe how different networks transfer both information and value, and settle the matter of what constitutes clearing and settlement. The session will provide a foundational understanding of these core concepts for anyone new to payments and offer a good refresher for payments veterans.
